How It Works
Cleansing agents (Triphala, Vidanga) remove debris from eye tissues.
Nourishing herbs (licorice, lotus petals) calm irritation and feed the delicate membranes.
Warming spices (ginger, black and long pepper) improve blood flow, helping the other ingredients reach the eye.
Mineral ash (copper) is traditionally believed to keep the eye’s structure clear and strong.
Modern View
Research shows that Triphala has antioxidant activity that may protect eye cells from damage. Berberine, found in Berberis, has been studied for soothing the eye surface. Copper compounds can help keep the tear film stable, and licorice flavonoids have antioxidant and calming effects. These studies are early and do not prove that NĀGĀRJUNĀÑJANA cures any eye disease.
