How the Ingredients Work
The ingredients in Arśoghnī Vatī work synergistically to provide a three-part effect:
- Hemostatic action: The astringent properties and berberine from Berberis aristata help promote blood clotting.
- Anti-inflammatory effect: Neem compounds and cooling amber powder soothe swollen tissue and reduce pain.
- Digestive support: The powder helps soften stools, reducing strain on hemorrhoids.
Additional Benefits
Bitter herbs like neem and Berberis are believed to boost liver activity and aid waste elimination. Laboratory studies indicate neem increases antioxidant enzymes, while berberine improves gut-microbe balance, supporting rectal lining healing.
